Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The ADM_SCHOOLS feature class provides a comprehensive representation of schools located within Fort Worth, Texas and the five counties which it touches. This dataset includes public schools, charter schools and private schools from Early Education (EE) through grade 12. It is intended to support city planners, educational researchers, and other stakeholders in analyzing and managing the educational infrastructure of Fort Worth.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Public school data is based primarily on Texas Education Agency (TEA)'s </SPAN><A href="https://schoolsdata2-tea-texas.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/3bbafea2252246bb887cf28336a2ca69_0/explore?location=30.848346%2C-100.146517%2C6.06" STYLE="text-decoration:underline;"><SPAN>Open Data Site</SPAN></A><SPAN>. TEA's data set has been geocoded using an unknown geocoding service, and the quality of geometry has been inconsistent. To resolve geometry quality issues, the TEA tabular data was joined to </SPAN><A href="https://data-nces.opendata.arcgis.com/search?groupIds=455147561fd3416daa180395fb4e9237" STYLE="text-decoration:underline;"><SPAN>National Center for Education Studies</SPAN></A><SPAN> (NCES) and </SPAN><A href="https://hifld-geoplatform.hub.arcgis.com/datasets/87376bdb0cb3490cbda39935626f6604_0/explore" STYLE="text-decoration:underline;"><SPAN>Department of Homeland Security</SPAN></A><SPAN> (DHS) datasets where possible. Schools joined with an authoritative geometry source are noted as TEA and NCES or TEA and DHS, as appropriate. All other schools were geocoded using a CFW or ESRI geocoder. Private school data was obtained from </SPAN><A href="https://www.tepsac.org/api/schools/csv" STYLE="text-decoration:underline;"><SPAN>Texas Private School Accreditation Commission </SPAN></A><SPAN>(TEPSAC) and geocoded using a Fort Worth or Esri geocoder.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>After recreating geometry, schema of the TEA and TEPSAC (for private schools) data has been meticulously processed to align with the city of Fort Worth's data schema. Data last updated January 9, 2025.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
